So. I have been tagged. I am supposed to write the five things I like most about Jesus, and then “tag” five others. Here goes:
2. John 14:1-3
3. John 17:20
4. John 2:14-16
5. Revelation 21:3-4
Don’t be lazy; look the verses up and read them again. 🙂
Here are my five:
When you get tagged, its your turn!

As many of you know, I am against the attempt to legislate morality. Morality is something that comes from the inside, and I believe that I as a follower of Jesus Christ am obligated to share His Word with a world in need. This is what may change society, not a bunch of laws.
Because I feel this way, I had two quotes as part of my e-mail signature. One of them was by a man named Roger Williams, in 1635. The other, the phrase, “You can’t legislate morality”, was mine. Or so I thought.
It has come to my attention that this phrase was first made prominent by Barry Goldwater in 1964 and has since been frequently used by other politicians.
I apologize for this lapse, and any misunderstandings that may have resulted from it.

Several months back, my wife and I were very excited. She was pregnant! We were also looking forward to purchasing a house that some friends of ours were remodeling.
Unfortunately, my wife had a miscarriage. And we were very naive about the costs of owning a home, and this home was way out of our price range.
So we were very, very disappointed. But life goes on, and we knew that God was still caring for us. In this life, you don’t always get what you want.
We found out about a week ago that my wife is pregnant again. And she is healthy so far. Prayers would be appreciated. 🙂
We also made an offer on a home that will be perfect for our family. The offer was accepted, and our mortgage will cover the improvements we wanted to make. The final price, after the improvements, is still below our budgeted cost.
There is a moral to the story.
Even when it seems like disappointment after disappointment is piling up, when tragedy strikes, when things aren’t going your way, stay true to God. He is still working “all things to the good.”
