Changes

Well.

Several months back, my wife and I were very excited.  She was pregnant!  We were also looking forward to purchasing a house that some friends of ours were remodeling.

Unfortunately, my wife had a miscarriage.  And we were very naive about the costs of owning a home, and this home was way out of our price range.

So we were very, very disappointed.  But life goes on, and we knew that God was still caring for us.  In this life, you don’t always get what you want.

Well.

We found out about a week ago that my wife is pregnant again.  And she is healthy so far.  Prayers would be appreciated. 

We also made an offer on a home that will be perfect for our family.  The offer was accepted, and our mortgage will cover the improvements we wanted to make.  The final price, after the improvements, is still below our budgeted cost.

There is a moral to the story.

Even when it seems like disappointment after disappointment is piling up, when tragedy strikes, when things aren’t going your way,  stay true to God.  He is still working “all things to the good.”
